"Fort Minor: We Major" foi inicialmente lançado na internet como um "aquecimento" para o primeiro album da banda "The Rising Tied".

Em 2006 uma edição limitada com uma capa diferente foi lançada, tendo a produção executiva de Jay-Z, mancionado na capa do album como Shawn Carter.
